Natural Source of Essential Fatty Acids

Our body needs the right fat for healthy living. Essential fatty acids (EFAs) are the kind of fat the body cannot produce and which it needs. Essential fatty acids have many functions in our body. According to medical records, they improve the skin and hair, reduce blood pressure, aid in prevention of arthritis, lower cholesterol, and reduce the risk of blood clot formation (J.F Balch and P.A Balch 2nd ed) to mention but a few.
There are many sources of this essential fatty acids but we must remember that in order to get the full benefits of the EFAs it must be consumed in its liquid and most natural state. Heat destroys its active ingridents and in some cases converts then to a more complex and dangerous chemical.
The two basic categories of essential fatty acids are the Omega-3 and Omega-6. You can get these from Palm fruit which is grown in tropical regions. The palm fruit is red in color when it is riped with some blemishes of coffee or brown color at the outer part from where it is detached from the bunch. The palm fruit is used to produce red oil and it contains a seed which is called palm kernel. It is not so tasty when chewed raw. It is delicious when boiled or roasted but the heat must have destroyed most of the essential ingridents that the body requires as nutrients. Other sources  of essential fatty acids are fish oil, flaxseeds, flaxseed oil, grape seed oil and primose oil. Living a healthy life is the birth right of everyone.
